The short version
Adaptive Gmail that respects where your data lives. Here is how privacy works on vantaform, in plain language.
- Mail content stays in Google. We never host your inbox on vantaform servers.
- Layout, themes, and temporary mail cache live in your browser by default.
- Optional cloud sync backs up layout and themes only — never mail or behavior signals.
- We do not sell personal data. AI that reads mail is not on today; any future AI feature will be opt-in.
Your data
Where everything lives
Three places. Clear boundaries. No inbox hosted on us.
Google stores your mail. vantaform fetches threads through the official Gmail API when you open them in the app, then shows them in your browser.
What we do
Request only the Gmail scopes needed to render and act on mail you ask for.
Your browser
Preferences, Studio layout, shortcuts, and a short-lived mail cache stay on your device in IndexedDB / local storage.
What we do
Keep personalization local unless you turn on cloud sync.
vantaform cloud
If you enable cloud sync, we store workspace layouts and custom themes so you can restore them on another device. Mail, caches, and behavior signals are never synced.
What we do
Store layout backups only when you opt in to sync.
